Archery Event Brings Dads Together for Connection and Challenge

This summer we welcomed a group of dads for a unique and memorable experience — It was an afternoon of conversation, connection and archery in the great outdoors.

Set in a peaceful woodland clearing near Leeds Casle in Maidstone, the event was more than just a chance to test aim and skill. For many of the fathers who attended, it was an opportunity to meet new people, take a break from daily responsibilities, and try something completely new in a safe and welcoming environment.

This is what Brotherly Support Between Fathers looks like.

The event began with space for open conversation, where dads could introduce themselves, share their life stories, and connect with others to understand the highs and lows of fatherhood, togehter.

After a very emotional and rewarding circle, the bows were handed out and the focus turned to hitting a series of targets. For some, it was their first time trying archery; for others, a chance to rediscover a long-lost skill. Either way, the laughter, encouragement, and friendly competition made it a fantastic afternoon.

While our regular sessions provide ongoing support, special events like this one offer a different kind of experience: a chance to step out of routine, bond through shared activities, and realise you’re not alone on the journey.
