A Cracking Easter Eggstravaganza!

Updated: Jun 4, 2023

DadSpace welcomed over 35 guests to our Family Easter trail today, kindly hosted by Reuth’s Lost Gardens of Sevenoaks.

We had a short welcome from Denver King,(Director of DadSpace CIC) who invited everyone to introduce their families and share how they heard about DadSpace. With 4 new fathers attending, our project is reaching further with every event. It’s always great to meet the family’s behind the fathers as “Family” is what it’s all about and we are all different. Getting to grips with your own mental health means you are able to better support those around you, and it shows.

Next we shared news of an exciting fundraising event we have planned for the end of May. 14 fathers are hiking Scafell Pike, to raise over £2,000 to support our ambitious plans for hosting even more DadSpace events!

The hike symbolises our motto of “Brotherly Support, Between Fathers”. Showing that we are there for each other, from our lowest points, to the highest peak in England… quite literally brining the spirit of the mountain back with us.

Link to the fundraising page can be found here, please support us if you can. We appreciated not everyone is able to donate at this time, we kindly ask that you consider liking and sharing our content on social media so any fathers in need of support may see our project. Awareness of this subject is priceless.

Shortly after this, the Easter Bunny arrived to start the Easter Egg Trail!  Even the adults enjoyed the walk and nearly missed a couple of the coloured eggs on the way around! The walk ended with another visit from the Easter Bunny who handed out chocolate egg prizes.

We are very proud of the support we receive from local businesses and the venues that we visit. This free event could not have happened without the generosity and kindness of Reuth’s, so please consider leaving them a review, sharing their events on social media or visiting them again in the future.

Thank you to everyone who attended today, we look forward to our next walk and talk event on Saturday 29th April, 10am at Loddington Farm.
